Young Doctor Dies by Suicide After Matrimonial Fraud in Bibvewadi

In a tragic incident from Bibvewadi, a young doctor ended her life after being deceived by a man who falsely claimed to be unmarried. The accused, hailing from Sangli, allegedly extorted ₹10 lakh from the woman under the pretense of marriage. A case has been registered against him following a complaint by the victim's father.

According to Bibvewadi police, the young doctor had created a profile on a matrimonial website where she came into contact with the accused. Although the man was married, he falsely presented himself as single. After initiating contact, the two met at a hospital in Dehu. However, the victim's family rejected him due to his questionable behavior.

Despite the initial rejection, the accused continued to pursue the woman, convincing her of his intention to marry. Over time, he extracted ₹10 lakh from her on multiple occasions. When the woman later demanded her money back, the man revealed that he was already married and that his wife was pregnant.

Shattered by this revelation, the young doctor consumed a poisonous substance at a hospital in the Bibvewadi area, ultimately succumbing to the effects.

Police are continuing their investigation into the matter to gather more details about the fraud and the events leading up to the incident.
