Twisted Truth in Pune Porsche Crash Case Shocking Revelations of Forged Reports

A startling twist has emerged in the Pune Porsche crash case, with investigators uncovering a deep-rooted conspiracy to tamper with crucial blood test reports. A labour contractor and a jeweller are now at the center of a forgery scandal, accused of influencing hospital staff to alter records and protect the minors who were present with the 17-year-old driver during the tragic accident on May 19, 2024.

During a court hearing, special prosecutor Shishir Hiray strongly opposed their bail, arguing that the duo worked with suspended Sassoon Hospital personnel to manipulate documents, even going as far as changing names on reports to mislead authorities. "Their intent was clear—to shield the minors from facing legal action," Hiray told the court.

The forgery came to light after a tip-off revealed inconsistencies in the blood samples and test results. This prompted officials to collect fresh samples from the minors at Aundh Hospital, which were sent to a forensic lab for verification. The findings exposed a deliberate attempt to cover up key evidence.

According to Hiray, the prosecution has ample proof that the accused collaborated with eight others who were previously arrested to fabricate records. Given the severity of the crime—which could result in a life sentence—and the potential risk of evidence being tampered with if they were released, he urged the court to deny their bail. The hearing will continue on April 4.

Two Police Officers Face Dismissal for Mishandling the Case

In a parallel development, Pune police have recommended the dismissal of an inspector and an assistant inspector for their failure to properly investigate the case. The proposal has been sent to the state police headquarters for final approval.

Police Commissioner Amitesh Kumar revealed that both officers, stationed at Yerawada police station, were found guilty of negligence, leading to significant lapses in the initial investigation. They were already suspended, and after a departmental inquiry, authorities have formally recommended their removal from service.

The Night of the Tragedy

The accident, which shook the city, claimed the lives of two young software engineers, Ashwini Koshta and Aneesh Awadhiya, both originally from Madhya Pradesh. The high-end Porsche, driven by the teenage son of a prominent real estate developer, crashed into their motorcycle near Kalyani Nagar. The teenager was reportedly returning home to Wadgaon Sheri after partying at multiple pubs in Mundhwa and Koregaon Park Annexe, accompanied by two other minors and his driver.

With more layers of the case unfolding, this high-profile incident continues to raise questions about privilege, accountability, and justice.
