CM M.K. Stalin Inaugurates 21-Storey Tidel Park at Pattabiram, Spanning Over 5.5 Lakh Sq. Ft
Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K. Stalin unveiled two transformative projects on Friday, signaling a significant boost for employment and economic development in the state. The highlights included the inauguration of a 21-storey Tidel Park at Pattabiram near Avadi and the launch of the state’s first Precision Engineering Technology Centre (PETC) at Thirumudivakkam.
The newly inaugurated Tidel Park in Chennai's western suburbs spans over 5.5 lakh square feet and comes with state-of-the-art amenities. Built at a cost of ₹330 crore, this impressive facility in Tiruvallur district is set to create employment opportunities for around 6,000 IT professionals. The development promises to invigorate the economy of northern Tamil Nadu, particularly benefiting Tiruvallur and its neighboring districts. The facility also boasts ample parking space, accommodating 927 cars and 2,280 two-wheelers, ensuring convenience for employees and visitors alike.
During the event, Chief Minister Stalin handed over allotment letters to Webberax Solutions and Dotnix Technologies LLP, two companies leasing office spaces in the park. The move reflects the government’s commitment to fostering a conducive environment for IT firms to thrive and expand in Tamil Nadu.
On the same day, the Chief Minister inaugurated the Precision Engineering Technology Centre (PETC) at the SIDCO Industrial Estate in Thirumudivakkam, Kancheepuram district. This one-of-a-kind facility in South India aims to empower nearly three lakh Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) across the state. Built with a financial outlay of ₹18.2 crore, PETC includes cutting-edge facilities such as an engineering design center, a re-engineering lab, an additive manufacturing unit, and a patent and testing lab.
The PETC is a game-changer for MSMEs, startups, and young engineers, enabling them to create innovative products using advanced technology and software without relying on large corporations. It serves as a vital resource for nurturing creativity, innovation, and entrepreneurship. This facility marks the first phase of the Precision Mega Cluster at Thirumudivakkam, developed through a special purpose vehicle supported by 14 SIDCO industrial estate associations. The Tamil Nadu government has further backed the cluster with subsidies to ensure its success.
Chief Minister Stalin emphasized the importance of these projects in driving economic growth and fostering technological advancement in the state. Senior government officials and state ministers, including T.M. Anbarasan, S.M. Nasar, and TRB Rajaa, were present at the event, underscoring the government’s united vision for Tamil Nadu’s industrial and technological development.
With the launch of these initiatives, Tamil Nadu is cementing its position as a hub for innovation, technology, and business opportunities, paving the way for a prosperous future for its people.
