Rahul Dravid's Car Involved in Minor Collision in Bengaluru, Leads to Heated Exchange

Former Indian cricketer and ex-Team India head coach Rahul Dravid was recently involved in a minor road incident in Bengaluru that led to a heated exchange with an auto-rickshaw driver. The incident, which took place on Cunningham Road on Tuesday evening, was captured on video and quickly spread across social media.

Details of the Incident

According to reports, Dravid’s car was struck from behind by a goods auto while stuck in traffic. It remains unclear whether Dravid himself was behind the wheel, but eyewitnesses reported that he engaged in an argument with the auto driver in Kannada, expressing visible frustration over the collision.

Sources indicate that Dravid was traveling from Indian Express Junction towards High Grounds when the accident occurred around 6:30 PM. Despite the confrontation, no injuries were reported, and no formal complaint was filed regarding the incident. Before leaving the scene, Dravid reportedly noted the auto driver's contact details and vehicle registration number.

A bystander recorded the altercation, where parts of the discussion about brakes could be heard. The video quickly gained traction online, sparking conversations about the incident. However, no legal action has been taken by either party, and the matter appears to have been settled on the spot.

Rahul Dravid’s Recent Engagements

Dravid, one of India’s most celebrated batsmen, has had an illustrious cricketing career, amassing over 24,000 international runs across formats. After serving as the Indian team’s head coach and guiding them to victory in the 2024 T20 World Cup, his tenure concluded in July.

Following his exit from the national team, Dravid returned to his former IPL franchise, Rajasthan Royals, where he took on the role of head coach. He was actively involved in the IPL 2025 mega auction, where the franchise made headlines for signing 13-year-old Vaibhav Suryavanshi, the youngest-ever player to be purchased in the tournament’s history.

While the Bengaluru road incident gained widespread attention, Dravid’s focus remains on his coaching career as he gears up for the upcoming IPL season.
