BCG Leads Recruitment in IIM Ahmedabad’s First Cluster of Final Placements

The first cluster of the final placement process for IIM Ahmedabad’s PGP class of 2025 took place on Friday, witnessing strong participation from top recruiters across multiple industries. Boston Consulting Group (BCG) emerged as the leading recruiter, extending 34 offers, the highest in this phase of placements.

Consulting Giants Dominate Hiring

A total of 47 firms participated in the placement process, with the management consulting sector featuring major names such as BCG, McKinsey, Kearney, Accenture Strategy, Monitor Deloitte, Simon-Kucher, EY Parthenon, Deloitte, PwC, and KPMG. These firms actively recruited students for high-impact consulting roles.

Diverse Cohorts in the Hiring Process

Cluster 1 of the placement process included six key cohorts:

  • Investment Banking & Markets
  • Management Consulting
  • Niche & Advisory Consulting
  • Cards & Financial Advisory
  • Private Equity (PE) & Venture Capital (VC)
  • Asset Management

The process was conducted in a hybrid mode, allowing seamless participation from global recruiters.

Top Recruiters Across Industries

In the Investment Banking & Markets segment, leading firms such as Avendus Capital, Moelis, and HSBC participated, with Goldman Sachs making the highest number of offers—eight in total. The Private Equity and Venture Capital domain experienced increased activity, attracting firms like General Atlantic, Everstone, Elevation Capital, and Arga Investment.

American Express stood out in the Cards and Financial Advisory cohort, extending 15 offers, the highest in this category. Additionally, international firms such as Transformation X (Dubai) and Arthur D. Little (Riyadh) provided global placement opportunities, expanding career prospects for students.

IIM Ahmedabad’s final placement process continues to showcase its strong industry connections, attracting top-tier recruiters and offering students competitive career pathways in consulting, finance, and advisory domains.
