IIM Mumbai Achieves 100 Percent Placement for 2025 Batch with Record Salaries and Soaring Pharma Hiring

IIM Mumbai has once again set a benchmark in placements, achieving 100 percent success for its 2025 batch. The highest salary package reached an impressive ₹47.5 lakh per annum, reflecting the institute’s growing reputation among top recruiters.

According to IIM Mumbai Director Prof. Manoj Tiwari, this year saw a 10 percent increase in total job offers compared to the previous year, while the average salary package rose by 5 percent.

A total of 198 companies participated in the placement drive, offering lucrative roles across various sectors. The top 10 percent of students secured an average package of ₹47.5 lakh, while the top 20 percent received ₹41.2 lakh on average. Even the top 50 percent of the batch bagged an annual salary of ₹34.1 lakh, showcasing the institute’s strong industry connections.

The pharmaceutical and healthcare sector witnessed the most dramatic growth, with hiring surging by 130 percent. This spike is attributed to the rapid expansion and innovation-driven demand in the industry. Retail and e-commerce recorded a 47.73 percent increase in offers, while consulting saw a 28.92 percent rise in recruitment.

Leading the hiring drive, Accenture made 41 offers with an average package of ₹45.37 lakh. Other major recruiters included PwC India, PwC US Advisory, Alvarez & Marsal, OfBusiness, Praxis Global Alliance, Vodafone Idea, Workday, and ZS.

Expressing pride in the institute’s placement success, Prof. Tiwari highlighted the seamless transition of NITIE into IIM Mumbai and its commitment to future-focused education. “This achievement is a testament to the hard work of our students, faculty, and corporate partners,” he said.

Looking ahead, IIM Mumbai is gearing up to introduce a new course on urban logistics and infrastructure management, along with a one-year public policy program. Additionally, short-term, industry-specific courses are in the pipeline to further enhance professional skill development.
