The Energy Corporation has intensified its campaign to recover outstanding electricity bills. As part of this initiative, the corporation collected Rs 35.5 lakh on Wednesday and disconnected the electricity connections of 36 consumers who failed to make payments. Despite repeated notices and the organization of payment camps, these consumers did not clear their dues, prompting this action.
Strict Measures for Non-Payment
The Energy Corporation is conducting an ongoing campaign to recover overdue electricity bills. During Wednesday's action, stringent measures were taken against consumers who failed to settle their outstanding amounts. Executive Engineer Pradeep Kumar stated that consumers had been informed in advance to pay their bills on time. However, many failed to comply, leading to the disconnection of their electricity connections.
Additional Facilities for Bill Payment
To facilitate consumers, the Energy Corporation has provided multiple payment options. Consumers can pay their outstanding bills on any day at the corporation's subdivision office, division office, or designated bill recovery camps. This service will be available seven days a week to ensure convenience. Additionally, billing counters will remain open even on holidays, allowing consumers to clear their dues without difficulty.
Appeal to Consumers for Timely Payment
The Energy Corporation urges all consumers to pay their electricity bills on time to avoid any inconvenience. Timely payments ensure an uninterrupted power supply and prevent additional penalties or disconnection issues. The corporation has indicated that strict actions will continue against defaulters to maintain smooth electricity distribution and prevent revenue loss.
Continued Action Against Defaulters
This campaign against defaulters will persist, and strict measures will be taken against those who fail to make payments. Consumers are advised to clear their outstanding bills on time to avoid any disruptions. The Energy Corporation will continue to monitor defaulters closely and take necessary actions to ensure efficient bill recovery.
