Tragic Road Accident in Haldwani Claims the Life of Revenue Department Employee

A tragic road accident occurred in the city of Haldwani, located in Nainital district, during the ongoing vote counting process. The accident claimed the life of 58-year-old Virendra Pandey, an employee of the Kumaon Commissioner Camp Office. The incident took place late at night near the Stadium Tri-junction on Kaladhungi Road when a speeding Bullet motorcycle struck his bike with great force. The collision caused Pandey's bike to topple over, leaving him severely injured.

Passersby immediately rushed him to Sushila Tiwari Hospital for medical treatment, but despite efforts, he succumbed to his injuries. The entire incident was captured on a nearby CCTV camera, and the accident reportedly occurred around 11 PM. The deceased, Virendra Pandey, was a dedicated staff member at the Haldwani Camp Office of Kumaon Commissioner Deepak Rawat.

This heartbreaking incident highlights the dangers of speeding and reckless driving. CCTV footage reveals that the Bullet rider was traveling at an extremely high speed before colliding with Pandey’s bike. The impact was so intense that Pandey was thrown onto the road. Following the accident, the Bullet rider fled the scene, leaving the victim helpless.

Haldwani Kotwali Police have launched an investigation into the matter. According to officials, CCTV footage from the area is being analyzed to identify the accused. The police assured that strict action would be taken against the perpetrator once apprehended.
