Shocking CCTV Footage Captures Car Falling From First-Floor Parking in Pune

An alarming incident in Pune’s Viman Nagar left residents in shock on Sunday morning when a car plunged from the first-floor parking lot of Shubh Gateway Apartment. The dramatic moment, caught on CCTV, shows the vehicle sliding backward and crashing to the ground after a section of the parking structure gave way.

The widely circulated footage starts innocently enough, showing a white car entering the parking area. Within seconds, disaster strikes—a portion of the wall supporting the parking lot crumbles, sending a black car parked near it tumbling backward. The vehicle lands on its rear wheels before sliding further and crashing to the ground below.

Nearby security personnel and residents witnessed the shocking incident. A security guard stationed just meters away saw the car fall in real time. Another individual sitting in the area narrowly escaped harm, as neither they nor the guard were injured in the accident.

Fortunately, no major injuries or fatalities were reported. Emergency services arrived swiftly to secure the area and assess the situation.

Preliminary reports suggest that the collapse may have been triggered by a miscalculation in parking. According to Lokmat Times, the black car’s driver may have applied excessive force while reversing, weakening the wall and causing the structure to fail.

While the collapse caused no significant damage beyond the affected parking area, the incident has raised concerns about the building’s structural integrity. Pune police have launched an investigation, and further assessments of the parking facility are expected.

In what could have been a devastating tragedy, the absence of injuries or fatalities is a huge relief. This incident serves as a reminder of the importance of structural safety in residential complexes.
