Royal Retreat in Bengaluru King Charles and Queen Camilla Embrace Holistic Wellness

In a serene three-day retreat, Britain's King Charles and Queen Camilla immersed themselves in holistic wellness in Bengaluru. Their stay, privately held at a well-known integrative medical facility on the city’s outskirts, focused on rejuvenation through a blend of ancient and modern therapeutic practices.

The couple chose this renowned health center to rejuvenate through yoga, meditation, and various healing therapies known to promote mind-body harmony. Sources reveal that the wellness program crafted for them included yoga sessions each morning, complementing a special diet designed to maximize the benefits of Ayurveda and naturopathy treatments they underwent. The center is celebrated for its dedication to natural, holistic practices and for its peaceful environment conducive to wellness.

During their stay, King Charles and Queen Camilla reportedly enjoyed the facility’s extensive 30-acre campus. Nature walks were part of their daily routine, along with visits to the center's organic farm, where fresh ingredients are cultivated for guest meals. The royal couple’s experience also included private meditation sessions aimed at restoring balance and promoting mental clarity—an approach the King has long supported.

This is not King Charles’s first visit to Bengaluru's internationally recognized 'SOUKYA' Holistic Centre, located near Samethanahalli by Whitefield. Known for its innovative wellness programs blending Ayurveda with global healing practices, the facility previously hosted King Charles on his 71st birthday in 2019. Operated by Dr. Issac Mathai, SOUKYA has been a favored destination for the King, reflecting his commitment to promoting Ayurveda as a globally respected health practice. Dr. Mathai, a figure notable in the wellness community, was also honored with an invitation to the King's recent coronation in the United Kingdom.

The British monarch’s support for traditional Indian wellness practices has extended beyond visits to India. In April 2018, King Charles joined Prime Minister Narendra Modi in London to inaugurate a new Ayurvedic Centre of Excellence, showcasing a strong dedication to evidence-based research on yoga and Ayurveda. This initiative highlights his vision of integrating these ancient practices within global healthcare.

King Charles and Queen Camilla departed Bengaluru after their rejuvenating experience, bringing international attention to India’s rich legacy of holistic health practices and its potential to contribute to global wellness.
