International Gang Network Unveiled as Police Probe Deepens
A recent investigation by Delhi Police has shed light on an alarming collaboration between Pawan Shokeen, a US-based gangster, and Lucky Patial, the head of the Bambiha gang. Operating from Sacramento, California, Shokeen is orchestrating illegal operations in India, including extortion and organized crime, with Patial, who continues to direct operations remotely. This international nexus has sparked serious concerns for law enforcement agencies as gang violence escalates in the capital.
Delhi Police recently revealed that Shokeen’s network demanded an extortion amount of Rs 10 crore from a businessman residing in Rani Bagh. Refusing to yield, the businessman faced a dangerous retaliation when gang associates fired multiple rounds at his residence to intimidate him. This incident, which occurred on October 26, left the city’s law enforcement on high alert. The shooters left a chilling message behind, signed by Kaushal Chaudhary and Shokeen, marking their allegiance to the Bambiha syndicate.
Delhi’s Special Cell acted quickly, capturing two of Shokeen's associates, Bilal and Suhaib, for their alleged roles in the Rani Bagh attack. These two men, reportedly inexperienced in criminal activities, were instructed by Shokeen himself to execute the plan. A third accomplice, Sohail, remains at large. During their arrest, a confrontation ensued, and one of the suspects sustained a gunshot wound as police acted in self-defense.
Through CCTV footage and extensive surveillance, authorities tracked the movements of Bilal and Suhaib, who were identified riding the motorcycle used in the crime. Officers in Delhi’s Special Cell, under ACP Sanjay Dutt and Inspector Sandeep Dabas, laid a trap, apprehending the two men. Despite their attempts to escape, both were successfully detained, and a collection of firearms, including a semi-automatic pistol and live cartridges, was confiscated.
The police probe has revealed that Shokeen, formerly jailed in Tihar, has fled to the US through illegal channels, now managing operations from afar. Delhi’s criminal network is seeing a new alliance with Shokeen and Patial’s Bambiha syndicate, creating competition for long-standing groups such as Lawrence Bishnoi’s gang and Himanshu Bhau’s group.
Delhi Police is increasingly concerned about the Bambiha group’s alliances with pro-Khalistani factions, particularly the Khalistan Tiger Force. This association adds a new layer of threat, prompting security agencies to double down on monitoring such cross-border connections.
