Ahmedabad Gears Up for Three-Month Mega Shopping Festival with Exciting Attractions

Ahmedabad is all set to host the much-anticipated Ahmedabad Shopping Festival 2024-25, a grand event that promises to transform the city into a bustling hub of shopping, entertainment, and cultural celebrations. Kicking off this Saturday after a five-year hiatus, the festival will span three months, ending on January 14, 2025. The first edition of the Ahmedabad Shopping Festival, which was inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi in 2019, set a new standard for urban shopping festivals. Now, the second edition promises to be even bigger and more spectacular, offering something for everyone.

Five Themes, Four Major Shopping Districts

The festival is built around five unique themes and will be spread across four major shopping districts in the city—Sindhu Bhavan Road, CG Road, Nikol Modern Street, and Kankaria Rambagh Road. Additionally, the beautiful Sabarmati Riverfront will serve as a key venue for several major events.

Minister of State for Cooperation and Rural Industries Jagdish Vishwakarma emphasized that the primary goal of the festival is to showcase Ahmedabad’s vibrant cultural heritage, boost the local economy, and make the city a must-visit destination for shoppers from across the country.

“The main objective of this festival is to boost the city’s economy by highlighting its rich cultural heritage. Ahmedabad is known for its vibrant shopping scene, and with this festival, we aim to make it a top destination for shopping enthusiasts every year,” Vishwakarma said.

He also mentioned that an integrated web portal will be developed to brand and promote Gujarat’s business products, further enhancing the reach of the state’s industries and artisans to a global audience.
