Shocking Double Murder of Siblings in Bengaluru: Parents Blame Each Other

In a tragic and disturbing case, two young children, aged seven and three, were found strangled to death in Bengaluru’s Subramanyapura area. The heartbreaking incident has left the local community in shock, as the police investigate the parents, who are accusing each other of the heinous crime.

The victims, identified as Shubam, 7, and Sia, 3, were allegedly killed with a rope, according to preliminary findings. The father, an auto driver, and the mother, a homemaker, are from Jharkhand and had recently moved to Bengaluru. The mother is currently hospitalized with a neck injury, raising further questions about the sequence of events.

Deputy Commissioner of Police (South Division), Lokesh Jagalasar, confirmed that the murders occurred on Thursday evening, between 7 p.m. and 9:30 p.m. The father reportedly discovered the situation upon returning home and rushed his wife and children to the hospital around 10:30 p.m. However, the parents’ conflicting accounts have complicated the investigation.

According to the father, marital disputes, depression, and frustration led to the tragedy, claiming his wife committed the murders. On the other hand, the mother has denied these allegations, asserting her husband is responsible. Police are meticulously analyzing evidence, including CCTV footage and technical data, to determine what transpired.

The DCP stated that initial evidence suggests the mother was present at the crime scene, while the father arrived later. However, this is yet to be corroborated through additional investigation. Statements from relatives and neighbors have pointed to ongoing marital discord as a potential motive.

The mother’s neck injury, which is not life-threatening, is also under scrutiny. Police are working to establish whether it was self-inflicted or caused by someone else during the incident. As she undergoes treatment, the investigation is progressing cautiously.

The family had moved to Bengaluru only two months ago, adding a layer of complexity to the case. While the motive behind this appalling crime is still unclear, authorities are leaving no stone unturned in uncovering the truth.

This tragic incident underscores the devastating impact of unresolved conflicts within families. Authorities urge communities to seek help and support to address mental health and relationship challenges before they escalate into irreversible outcomes.
