HALO Magic Sleepsuits Recalled Over Infant Choking Hazard, CPSC Warns

The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) has announced a significant product recall affecting thousands of infant sleepsuits sold across major retail platforms in the United States. The HALO Magic Sleepsuits have been flagged for a potential choking hazard, raising serious safety concerns among parents and caregivers nationwide.

According to the official recall announcement, the zipper head on the affected HALO Magic Sleepsuits has been identified as a dangerous component that may detach from the garment, posing a substantial choking risk to infants. The products were made widely available through a variety of popular retail channels, including the company's official website as well as major e-commerce and retail platforms such as Amazon.com, Walmart.com, and Target.com.

The CPSC confirmed that at least 15 reports of the zipper head detaching from the garment have already been received. Fortunately, no injuries have been reported to date. However, authorities are urging parents and guardians to act swiftly given the inherent vulnerability of infants to choking hazards.

The recall encompasses approximately 45,000 units of the HALO Magic Sleepsuits bearing specific batch codes: PO30592, PO30641, and PO30685. These products were sold between September 2025 and February 2026. Consumers who purchased any of these items during that time frame are strongly encouraged to check their products immediately for the corresponding batch codes.

The CPSC is urging all affected consumers to register for the recall through the HALO company's official website. Upon completing the recall registration process, consumers will receive store credit as compensation before properly discarding the defective products. Authorities emphasize that the sleepsuits should not be used under any circumstances while the recall process is underway.

This recall serves as a critical reminder for parents to regularly monitor product safety announcements and respond promptly to recalls involving infant products.
